55th TCM Kongress Rothenburg from 7 to 11 May 2024 – Top-level continuing education with international experts
Dortmund, 4 March 2024 – The prestigious TCM Kongress Rothenburg, to be held for the 55th time this year, most likely will take place for the last time in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The reason is that the State Ecumenical Council decided to close and sell the property Wildbad Rothenburg, which is owned by the Evangelical-Lutheran Church in Bavaria. AGTCM is in the process of looking at options for the future of the congress. Anyone who wants to experience the TCM Kongress in Rothenburg should definitely be there this year.
Long-standing participants of the congress appreciate the special atmosphere of the small medieval town and the Wildbad surrounded by grenery. That’s where the congress has been held for years on its way to becoming the most important TCM congress outside Asia. “The prime location has certainly contributed to the reputation and success of the congress,” said Congress Director Julia Stier. “So we are inviting everyone who loves this place as much as we do to attend the TCM Kongress from 7 to 11 May.”
Internationally renowned lecturers offer high-quality continuing education.
Not just the extraordinary location, but also the high-quality programme and the internationally renowned lecturers from around the world draw TCM therapists from Germany and abroad. “The congress offers outstanding options for continuing education in many different fields and subject areas in TCM,“ said Dr. Martina Bögel-Witt, AGTCM President and congress organizer. “The many and varied offerings for professional training are unique and truly world class.”
So many events on offer
The main theme of this year’s congress is “Shen und Psyche | Cardiovascular Diseases”. The programme includes lectures and seminars, practical workshops, presentations of scientific abstracts of studies, awards ceremony for the AGTCM abstract prize, an accompanying exhibition, daily Qigong morning sessions and the well-known “Theme Days” on pediatrics, TCM research, fertility, Western herbs, integrative nutritional therapy and Tuina. During the five-day congress, more than 50 events, some of them full-day, will be offered on parallel tracks. “The participants will be spoiled for choice,“ said Dr. Bögel-Witt. “No doubt many would like to go to several events at the same time!”
Networking and “family reunion”
Numerous options for networking will be offered. Participants can meet and chat at mid-day and evening events, at the congress opening with get-together and at the International Meeting and the Fantastic Finale on the last evening. “Every year our congress is a big reunion of the TCM family,” said Director Stier. “We look forward to it for months.”
